Saw it last week...IF I were ever going to buy a Nissan, I would find another place to purchase it.....stupidest commercial of all times.

To me, the worst part of that is that someone actually APPROVED it. I mean, somebody in either ownership or management actually had to say, "Yeah, I like it. Let's go with that."

When are they going to get it? I bet you dont see these types of commercials in Austin, Columbus, Gainesville, or Southern Cal. The scary thing is, I know alot of "LSU fans" that actually think that is funny and is how they want to be perceived- you know "CRAZY TIGGAH FANS"

I will go ahead and say every time that spot runs it is so bad that Tech gains 5 "casual LSU fans" RUN IT BABY RUN IT!

I see crap like that all the time here in Baton Rouge. These idiots live and die for LSU athletics. I've never seen folks sport a team's colors and acronym more than the jackasses that cheer for LSU. I love me some LaTech, but good God, it shouldn't replace basic fashion sense. I can just see my future wife loving having a LaTech-themed house, car, wardrobe, etc.... Not. It's pathetic.

Never mix business and politics (including college politics). I always refuse to carry any LSU labeled products however. There is a big difference between that and blatant, and admittedly, incredibly stupid fanfare/commercialism.

I agree. Its one thing to just not support a particular team and a whole other thing to blatantly cheer one on, especially in this way.

I think Orr should have looked at how many cars they would sell because of this commercial vs. how many people they turn against them. I realize we are in "LSU Country" but you cant let your personal loyalty get in the way of good business sense and that clearly happened here.

Its a little bit like the Reeves Marine thing we recently discussed.

I know MANY Tech small business owners that are very proud of Tech and businesses they run, they just know you cant do something like this.

At least the guy that pushes Suddenlink advertising up in Shreve/Bossier wears a Tech shirt in his ads, and has even said "Go Bulldogs" in an ad or two. That's not TERRIBLY obnoxious at least. Plus, it is so annoying to see how the guy in this car commercial acts. He thinks he's IN Baton Rouge and is using a fake "cajun" accent as well. Ugh...

And if anybody knows anything about Baton Rouge, no one who is actually "from" Baton Rouge really has a Cajun accent. If you here a Cajun accent it is from someone who either moved there or is in town for a visit.
