    Blue vs Red

The Red Out was fun and different, but it looks like we are going to have our work cut out for us to get everyone back on track to wear their blue to the home games. There was an awful lot of red sprinkled throughout the stadium Saturday. And for that matter a lot of yellows and greens and even some purple bank advertising shirts that had Tech printed on them. Its going to be interesting to see if we can get the "blue" movement back or if one weekend is going to derail years of effort.

As it gets colder you will see less blue in the stands.
    Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”

I noticed that too. It was the most non blue we've had in the stands in two years.

    Growing pains.

The turn out we had for the RED OUT game far out weighs this minor problem. If you could even classify this a problem as the vast majority had on blue. The RED OUT fan participation far exceeded past years AND everyone's expectations.

Also... I am not completely convinced that the RED OUT game caused this. Like Guisslapp said, it was colder saturday and not everyone has blue jackets/pullovers.

I agree, I wouldn't classify this as a "problem". Just interesting I thought. There were lots of red tshirts from the Hawaii game, but also lots of jackets worn on the west side in the shade.

Remember that there wasn't that many people wearing red - it just looked that way (atleast it did from the west side)

Tech77 and myself tried to count - but our guess is that there were less than 5% of the people on the east side wearing RED but the color is so dominant it made it look like a 1/3 or better were wearing red

They now have a snuggie for your dog too. Better stock up to keep Tech warm in the winter.

Go to latechsports and they have a new splash page up regarding the Boise game. Doing some early promoting there to wear blue.

Since Boise wears all blue camo on their blue turf, our fans should show them what real huntin camo is. I bet more people have camo cold gear than blue cold gear. It'd look awesome on tv, too.

It'd look brown on camera... and we'd all look like rednecks........

However, we need to do color by section. Section A wears red, B blue, C red, D blue... etc etc

    Would look gooooood.

    Re: Blue vs Red

I think there are a lot of people that prefer red and the red out has just given them a reason to go back to their red gear, or wear the red gear they bought for the Hawaii game. Going to be interesting to see if we can go back to our blue for a November night game on the duece.
