Unfortunately, the 10th Amendment was not the impetus behind this move. Neither party seems to understand and/or respect federalism.

But this is a more significant crack in the argument against the 10th Amendment than most. This sets policy and precedent that states' rights are supreme as was the correct original intent of the Framers. Over time it could lead to overturning other unconstitutional areas of Federal control both from Congress and the courts.

Yeah right, the left swoops in on this issue but still wants to federally mash the 2nd amendment.

It's just their little pet, not a sincere belief in the rights of the states. They are busy grabbing as much gov control as they can.

Agreed. The state's rights argument was just a means to the desired end.

You guys are reading way too much into this. Obama is just keeping one of his campaign promises, to let medical marijuana folks alone if it is allow by the State.
