You are correct, the program should not be extended.

Headlines say the recession is officially over. Unemployment rate continues to increase. WTH?

We really need another stimulus package.

Unemployment is a lagging indicator. The numbers will be much better by June of 2010.

Depends if you are talking about first time unemployment claims or the total unemployment rate.

DH, that is simply not true. I might be able to take advantage of the extended $8000 tax credit. Also, do you remember the thread "The Messiah wants to give each senior $250" (http://www.latechbbb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68921), well that also included disabled veterans like myself. I got a check for $250 in July and so I was basically saying something might seem to be against my interests.

BTW, I'm happy for you taking the $8000 Obamamoney and becoming a home owner.

My wife and I fall under the lucky part of that because we were going to buy our first home this year anyway. I still dont feel too bad because I think I am still going to pay 13K in taxes. :bigcry:
