This looks like the beginning of another week of upsets. First Virginia Tech now West Virginia is struggling, I wonder who else is going to fall this weekend.
Mountaineers cut it to 20-19 with 9:18 left in the 3rd. And this won't be an upset at all if USF wins...West Virginia is a 3.27 underdog using the Sagarin Predictor. Both teams had identical Predictor ratings, so the margin goes to South Florida based on home field.

Win will make the Bulls eligible for a bowl. That's one less chance provided Tech wins out the season.

Looks like the Big East is going down to two in the top 25
South Florida is projected to make it to 7-5 and become bowl qualified anyway, but that cannot happen tonight. 2 of USF's wins are against FCS teams so it takes 7 wins to get to bowl qualification. USF cannot be just bowl-eligible, so it is bowl-qualified or bust.
This would make two nights in a row that a team gets its 6th win and cannot yet go to a bowl due to 2 FCS wins.
