<H2>Coyotes kill woman on hike in Canadian park</H2>

TORONTO — Two coyotes attacked a promising young musician as she was hiking alone in a national park in eastern Canada, and authorities said she died Wednesday of her injuries.
That's terrible.
I could tell you some coyote stories. And, probably will if this thread continues.
I wouldn't go into any area like that without my 357 S&W. I've seen bears and cougars in the Ouachita mountains as well as coyotes. Any of them can take you down if they decide to.
Don, being in canada, handguns are illegal. That's why I wouldn't go there at all.

That looks like a Florida panther.
We had a mountain lion killed in Bossier not too long ago. And there was that Bear in Ruston.....
And a bear in Springhill (downtown to be exact)...

I sure was glad when they killed that mountain lion. It was killing deer on our property in Elm Grove (South Bossier) and it had several "rub trees" on the property (looks just like a deer rub only about 6 foot high on the tree). Having said that I'm not so sure it was all by itself as we have seen sign this year as well. Makes the walk to the stand in the dark more interesting however. I had a few coyotes harassing me one time when I was cleaning a deer that I shot in a swamp bottom one evening. They circled and barked the whole time I was gutting the thing. That was back in my really broke days and I had no four wheeler. I near 'bout killed myself dragging that thing in the dark at a record pace back to my vehicle.

Looks like a cross between a bear and an elephant. If I saw one of those in the woods I would definitely shoot it! Not nearly as pretty as a shaved beaver.coyotes are nuthing. Shave bears on the other hand freak me out....
