You can't rank Oregon ahead of Boise. Yes, I THINK Oregon would beat Boise by 3 TDs right now, but I also THOUGHT Oregon would do the same thing in week 1. They didn't. There are lots of "I thinks" and "right nows" in this argument, but the FACT is that Boise whooped their ass.

But, in fact, you don't know that for sure. You can never know that for sure unless they actually play. And they don't play. So, we are stuck with looking at actual wins and losses. And if Oregon gets bumped ahead of a loss-less team who beat them, that would bump college football program solidly into pure travesty.

Yeah USC hasn't done a damn thing this year. Their defense is garbage. Boise beats them by a TD. Cincy beats them by 3 or 4 TDs.

Bowl game is a different story. USC has that LSU-with-Miles-like quality of getting WAY up for bowls and hammering people. I'm talking right now.

Watching Boise play the number 100 team in the country does not give you good information about how they would do against a better team.

Point in case, contrast Tech vs USU against Tech vs BSU. Doesn't make any sense, does it?
