That Eldorado QB looks good and he's just a junior.
El Dorado should be playing in 7A but theres no other big school besides Texarkana (Arkansas High) and Pine Bluff in south AR.

Didn't realize they went up to 7A. Is 3A the lowest division competing in football?
2A plays football.
6 and 7 are really small classifications. They only have two conferences (of eight) each.
It used to be (both when they went to 4A and had B for non-football schools, and then when they went to 5A and B turned into 1A) that the biggest 32 played in the top classification in four conferences.
The second biggest 16 schools or so (like my alma mater who is right on the edge and bounces from about the 30th biggest school in the state to around 35 and is always cycling up and down a level) griped because at the top end you had huge schools in NW and Central Arkansas competing with schools with way smaller enrollment.
I'm not crazy about the split. But it makes sense that on the top and bottom ends of the classification by enrollment system you get big disparities. In 3A for example all the schools are relatively close in size because there is a ceiling and a floor.

Don't forget the brothers that play RB and LB, they both sound like they may play at this level.
There are 6 teams in north La. and south Arkansas within an hour drive to Tech that are either already state champs or are in the championship game.
Eldorado-6A state champ
Junction City-2A
West Monroe-5A
Neville-4A
Evangel-2A
Haynesville-A
Monticello and Camden Fairview played for the 5A state championship in Arkansas and they are only 2 hours from Tech.
The Ford brothers from El Dorado. I hope they were impressed with Tech after attending the Boise game. Are we low on linebackers? Jimmy Ford is located less than a hour away.Jimmy Ford, LB - Senior
5'11- 213lbs

*Check him out vs 7A North Little Rock
James Ford, RB - Junior

What's up with the purple for El Dorado? I thought they used to be black and gold.
Also, isn't there more weight placed on school size first and then sports offered second as far as classification in AR. I know that there are several 2A schools including Parkers Chapel that didn't even have football until 2 years ago. In LA, I don't know of a 2A that doesn't have all major sports because school size is not as much of a factor. Of course, now with the John Curtis, Evangel factor, school size plays a bigger role on classification.
