Apparently our punting situation has grabbed some high school attention. A local two sport athlete talked with me today about attempting to walk on for punting (he's attempting to land a baseball scholarship). Apparently our punting woes have garnered a look or two. In my case, this young man is a great student athlete and all around good kid. He knows he needs to work on his punting a little more though.

BTW do we know why Cade is struggling in game time situations only? I also think he performed better down the road. Looks like fall could be interesting for the punters.

What about all those blocks? Was that a line problem or a trajectory problem? They did not have a sideline view so it could be analyzed.

It was ridiculous!!! John Curtis blocked 5 kicks on Evangel. Including 3 extra points.

Apparently JC saw something in the film and convinced the refs that ECA's kick formation was illegal. They had two illegal formations. Before the last block, ECA called time out and placed the linemen in formation on the sideline and then sent them in. It still got blocked.

On field goals, but we need some help on kick offs. The short kicks hurt us this year.

I don't know what was going on, I'm not sure if it was timing, technique, or just poor blocking. Evangel lines up in a strange formation for xtra pts and also JC got a good surge on every attempt.
