they beat our ladies last postseason. revenge!
Murray State is coached by Billy Kennedy who previously coached at Southeastern Louisiana and 2 years at Centenary. If I remember his teams right, they play tough defense with a fast pace offense. This will be a good game for the fans to see.

Pomeroy might have a typo on Murray St's 27-3 projection. All of their remaining games are projected as W's so they may also have them at 29-1 for the season.

Murray State Racer fan here. Just to let you all know that we are looking forward to a great game between two hot teams.
Just to give you all a little info about our Racers-
One loss on the year was at California. We have had a couple close calls, namely with fellow OVC member Eastern Kentucky and most recently East Tennessee State. We are a young team (only three seniors) and pretty deep by our standards. No real "best" player, more of a team effort. We do like to play hardcore pressure D and play in transition in offense. Not a lot of height, but athletic down low. Good freshman class that gives quality minutes.
About the game last year, this team is markedly different. We are more athletic than we were last year and far deeper.
This should be a great game! Good luck the rest of the season and here's to meeting in the NCAA's!
If we finish 19-11 after starting 8-2 then the rest of the season will be disappointing IMO. We should win at home against Murray State not saying it will be easy but it is at home and you have to win this game. Didn't we win up there last year? What was score, anyone remember?
Tech 69-60 was last years score.
19-11 would be HUGE disappointment!
19-11 would probably put us in the post season -
10-4 in all probability in OOC play
9-7 in WAC play - 6-2 at home and 3-5 on the road
This doesn not count the Bracket Buster game
I think we have got to win tomorrow nite to get to 20-21 wins in the regular season -
The way they are playing right now - I just don't see them jumping up and winning 23 to 25 games in the regular season with the WAC travel -
There are 6 real key games remaining in the season -
1) Murray St - 12/15
2) @ Houston - 12/29
3) Nevada - 1/2
4) Utah St - 1/4
5) Fresno - 1/14
6) Bracketbuster - 2/20
Our conference schedule is FRONT LOADED - we have to get the minimum of a split with Nevada & USU @ home or we are struggling and fighting an uphill battle from the opening week of WAC play
If we get the split to open at home and then split on the road in the tater state we come home to Fresno before we go to a weak San Jose squad and a down Hawaii squad which could be a 3-0 run before we even play NMST the first time
We finisheded with the cushy part of our schedule at Centenary - the only walk we have left is Pan Am...

I think we have the ability to be much better than 19 - 11. At this point I still don't know what to expect from this team. I think we are fairly inconsistent and hoped we would not be at this stage of the game. I am concerned about our depth over the course of a long season.
