This is a critical pick-up; and we could use a good 300 lb. down lineman as well, as others have already said. But if this guy can bring pressure from the edge and Ellis will (please) get in playing shape our defense may be, finally, a genuine force. Add the potential of significant improvement in QB play (however that's accomplished), and we might just get that long-awaited season! WTG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least we red shirted BIG JOHN WHITE last year. I am looking forward to seeing him play, but I do agree two 300 lb DTs would be a nice and needed addition.
It looks like DT is the hardest position to find good players. I only see 2 more on our board that haven't already signed somewhere else.... mostly out of state (which sucks). We've GOT to keep these guys if we are going to take it to the next level.
The bigs are the most valuable to get, that's why the BCS folks are all over them. We have to recruit others and coach and grow them to be big ums.
My high school here in Dallas has a 9th grader that played some (but very little) on varsity. He is 6'4" and 300 lbs. A very big time college coach was on campus recruiting someone else and told the HS coach to tell the 9th grader that they like what they see.
