Bama rolls Texas.
Bama rolls Texas.
I don't know why everybody keeps saying that.
Facts to consider:
1) If anybody has athletes as good as BAMA, it's TEXAS. The Tide certainly won't have better athletes.
2) Texas has a much better QB (Colt McCoy) than BAMA (Greg McElroy).
3) Mack Brown has a NC on his resume just like Nick Saban does.
4) Yes, Alabama has Mark Ingram. But Ingram is clearly the most unimpressive Heisman Trophy winner in my lifetime. He had 3 poor games this year (Fla Intl, Arkansas & Auburn), where he gained less than 60 yards in each. And he had another 2 fair --but non-Heisman like-- performances against UNT (91 yds) and Tennessee (99 yds on 18 carries).
Ingram racked up over 1,000 yards in 6 games this year while feasting on Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina, LSU, MS St, and VA Tech. Not exactly murderers row.
Ingram also gained 113 yds against Florida, but that was on 28 carries. Again, nice numbers, but not a great Heisman performance. He also had 102 yards against FCS Chattanooga (are you kidding me!)
I'm not a Texas fan, but people who think BAMA is going to "roll all over Texas" are sadly mistaken. Nobody "rolls" all over Texas. This game will be VERY close. And I think Texas wins. :icon_wink:

I will be shocked if Texas is even in the game by the second half. I'd expect it to be similar to what Florida did to OU last year. The Big XII is not any good this year, imo.
Texas by 11.
Isn't that their job? To evaluate players and their worth to a team. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that if a scout goes to see one player, that they get to see the team as a whole, not just a QB throwing to nobody, or a lineman blocking a sled, or a running back just doing the 40, or a WR catching passes from a machine. They see the whole team. So yeah they do evaluate NCAA football programs.
Bama is 0-7-1 all time vs Texas....
Texas has 5 straight Bowl victories and Mack Brown has a better bowl record than Nick Saban -
Something is bound to give -
I will be very surprised in Bama blows Texas out - both are used to the big stage and if anything Texas has more big game experience than Bama...
Bama will not play as good as it did against Fla and Texas will not play as bad as it did vs Nebraska -
Texas will stack the line to take away the running game much like Auburn did and try and force McIlroy to throw the ball
