WAC Champs! Again!
The Lady Techsters Indoor Track and Field Team won the WAC Championship in Boise with a record-setting performance.
With the win in the 4×400m relay with a time of 3:46.52 (unofficial), Louisiana Tech has recorded 175 points, setting a record for the most number of points a Louisiana Tech women’s team has scored at a WAC Indoor Championship meet. The 2010 Lady Techsters broke the mark of 157 points scored by the 2005 squad that won the program’s first WAC title. This is the Lady Techsters 6th relay win in 7 years.
That point total ranks fifth in WAC history for number of points a team has scored at a WAC Indoor meet. The top five in that cateogry:
1. BYU, 262 points, 1996
2. BYU, 185.5 points, 1995
3. BYU, 183.5 points, 1998
4. BYU, 181.5 points, 1999
5. Louisiana Tech, 175 points, 2010
This is Tech's 5th WAC Title in 6 years.
1) Louisiana Tech 175.0
2) Utah State 104.5
3) Idaho 102.0
4) New Mexico St. 63.0
5) Hawaii 61.5
6) Nevada 55.5
7) Boise State 51.0
8) Fresno State 49.5

Re: WAC Champs! Again!
Tech has 58 student-athletes in our Cross, Track, and Field programs.
Tech's women's program has now won 10 of the last 11 track and field WAC titles.
We finally got the track resurfaced. Now it's time to build them a locker room.
