And for predictions...I hope this game is a tie that never stops. I want to wake up in the morning to see this game in its 100th OT. I want them to suspend action, and then I want them to restart the overtimes in the afternoon.

I got Bama minus 5. I think they are definitely the better team but it worries me some that Colt mcCoy is capable of having a Vince Young type game, but I think he will need to for TX to cover or win.

I am a little shocked at the predictions. I just can't see Texas winning this. Yes, it might be ugly and boring with strong defenses, but Alabama is capable of putting on an offensive show at times. I think that will happen.

That would have to be one whale of a game. That game by Vince Young was the most dominant performance by any athelete in any championship game I have ever seen.

Does anone else remember what these teams look like in an actual game? It seems like last season since they've played. IMO it seems way too much time passes bewteen the regular season/ conference championships and these bcs bowl games! I know I've personally already moved into basketball mode (go dawgs)!

Question: would a "playoff system" really make this better or would it just serve to exclude more teams? If we keep current system, is there any pressure on the bcs to play sooner?

I can remember Alabama beating Florida and Texas struggling in their championship game - not able to score.

They just showed some highlights from the last decade of college football, and it has me convinced- it will have to be an ungodly performance to top Vince Young's perfomance in the 2006 BCSNC and Boise's win over Oklahoma.

28-5 heading into the final game of the bowl pick contest. I have Bama picked. But, I ain't so sure.

For one thing, I think every team with the Hypesman Trophy winner has lost the BcS title game. One year, USC had 2 hypesters and lost! So, the Hypesman voters decided it; it'll be Texas.
