WAC Tournament Tickets

The WAC basketball tournament will be in Reno, NV 3/9-3/13 where the men's and women's top 8 teams will compete. Tech plans on taking both championships this year and can use some Tech fans in the stands to offset the hordes of fans that will be there from USU, Nevada, and NMSU.

Below is the first bit of information Zack, Tech ticket manager, received about the tournament. Send him an email or call the office to have your name on a list for tickets. Cost and other details will be forthcoming. The team will be staying at the El Dorado. Other good hotels to stay at that are literally connected to the El Dorado are the Silver Legacy and Circus Circus. You can walk or ride the free shuttle to the arena from downtown where these hotels are located (no rental car needed unless you want to go sightseeing around the Lake Tahoe / Reno area).

Just got his from the WAC about tickets for the WAC tournament:


A total of 800 seats between the baselines (theoretically 100 for each traveling institution) has been blocked. The location of an individual institution’s seats will be determined after the receipt of all ticket orders to guarantee that an institution’s seating block remains intact.

I am a college student. And not from what I've seen. There is a huge difference in mommy and daddy buying kids expensive toys and being able to afford to fly to a basketball tournament.

2010 WAC Basketball Tournament Information

The 2010 WAC Basketball Tournament will be played in Reno, Nevada at the Lawlor Events Center March 10-13. All-session ticket packages are priced at $195. Louisiana Tech has been guaranteed an allotment of seats between the baselines for the tournament.
The Louisiana Tech Ticket office has to place its tournament ticket order by this end of this month. We are asking that anyone interested in going to the WAC Tournament inform the ticket office by Friday, January 15. This is a non-binding reservation that does not require payment. We are trying to get an idea of how many fans are interested in attending, so we can order tournament packages accordingly.

I'm on the list of those wanting tickets. Last year, I counted six fans not connected to TECH or a player at the tournament. This year I would like to see all of our tickets sold to TECH fans.

Where did you find this roundtrip flight for $306.70? I thought that Southwest flew out of Shreveport but it doesn't say so on their web site. The cheapest that I can find is about $400-500 each.
