Actually, I suspect that GWB will do what is classy and help wherever he can, because this is really not a political event at all. He has shown a remarkable ability thus far to rise above the petty junk of the seated president, even as he is being blamed for everything under the sun.

Dr. Pat Robertson is not GWB's pastor. But it's nice to attack the church in general because at the end of the day, they will do more for the right reasons than the government ever will (GWB and his church included).

It sure is. If the relief effort goes south, Obama can blame Bush and say it's another Katrina, etc. If the relief effort goes well, Obama takes all the credit.

And Robertson referred to a historical event in 1791 where the local story is that a pact was made between the devil and the local slaves in which Haiti would belong to him and the slaves would drive the French out.

I must've missed where Pat said that all of Haiti took a vote and voted for the pact...either that or you're reading more into the comment than is there.

But, if he in fact did that, it wouldn't be very wise...similar to your buddy teatech equating the Christian right and Pat Roberston.
