Just saw this sad report on ESPN. Can not find a link right now... Said that Jeron Lewis died after collapsing during the game. Apparently hit his head very hard and was DOA to the hospital. He was 21.

unbelievably sad.
This is TERRIBLE! And unbelieveable. Our prayers will be with his family and friends.
This reminds me of the late Hank Gathers and the Loyola Marymount team back in the early 1990's. Gathers, a unanimous All-American, suffered a heart attack on the floor of a game and died. Very sad.

The same thing happened to a friend of mine in in highschool here in ruston except he didn't die..but has been severly disabled since. These freak accidents are just terrible.
absoluely tragic! So sad!
Prayers to the family....... That is tragic.......
Didn't one of our former players die recently from hitting his head on the court?
The next big thing: basketball helmets required!
There are now defibulators in a lot of public places due to the Hank Gathers death. Remember that at least one of his teammates shot his free throws the rest of the season left handed to honor Hank who was left handed. Man it is sooo sad to see a young man lose his life. My prayers go out to the Lewis family.
Bo Kimble - to me its one of the most touching moments in sport - right up there with John Cappelliti's Heisman Speech, Gayle Sayer's honoring Brian Piccolo and Lou Gehrig's good bye address...
Our own Wayne Powell did earlier this year due to an injury he suffered while playing in a pickup game
