That would have been more of a lateral move... a good ways away from his stomping grounds... I wonder how he would respond to a HC offer close to home? Would he bring in Bower as a coordinator/associate HC? idk

I can understand not taking it because it is SEC, and he is already in SEC in his home state. I disagree that it is a lateral move. Despite it being SEC, the University of Florida has been a top 10 program for the last couple of years. Ole Miss is still trying to stay in the Top #25 ever year. I think it would have been a step up. I don't think he'd bring Bower in. I don't know what position he would offer him...

OC... but that would mean Bower really wants to get back in coaching and help out a good friend... and maybe beat USM 4 times for firing him??
