A mixture of a lot of stuff. Our shots stopped falling is probably the biggest reason. But Olu's defense has decreased lately too causing the opposing bigs to have good games.

partially, i have hade nba scouts say to me that he reminded them of a millsap or a malik rose type a undersized post, who has some tuffness can hit an open 16footer, but keeps you in the game by rebounding/put back fouls etc, now as of the last 6weeks they do not even ask anymore about him, but when he was doing things on the inside he was intresting to them.

and mainly thats because he feels he should be allowed to shoot from the 3 and dribble more than 4times so when he doesnt get to do it he doesnt want to play then starts picking up fouls, but the main reason, we do not try to get it inside more either by passing or dribble, we settle for shots so when they fall in it looks good but when they dont lol

    Thanks for your insight.

I've noticed Coach Rupp call many timeouts to address those issues and other issues about the team's play. The correction continues for a few possessions but we soon revert back to less effective play. We could use 3 or 4 times as many timeouts as we are allowed.

One thing I've noticed is that WAC and NCAA tournament basketball play is different than regular season because, in tournaments, it's win or go home. Most teams play much better together when faced with elimination. That's makes us very dangerous. Of course, that also makes other teams more dangerous.

i think the reason for a bit of a slide is two fold. first, early in the year the non conference competetion was generally weak. but more importantly, it is about fatigue. when you really only trust six or seven guys to play all the important minutes all season and you get late in the year (plus these high altitude wac road games), it makes it tough. still we bounced back well against both utah state (they are very good) and northeastern.
tech has a really good team but is probably destined for the nit unless they win the wac tourney or win out in the last four regular season games and get to wac tourney finals.

This is exactly right. Olu was unstoppable during the 1st half of the season. He was a tremendous asset on offense and was playing great defense. The job he did on Luke Babbit in the TAC was awesome.

During the last 8-10 games he has hit the "sophmore slump". He tries to make the Sportscenter "top 10" every time he touches the ball.

I agree that it still happens at times, but it was a lot worse last season, and it led to several traveling calls under the bucket. Love his hustle and hard work, so a flashy play here and there doesn't bother me as much.

No doubt, that was ridiculous... they were oblivious, like in slow motion, and your expecting just some cut to a wing with minimal motion and that happens... i had to rewind on 360.
Speaking of has anyone put that on youtube?
