Coach has learned the lessons of Mike Leach and Tony Franklin, in regards to trying to force your system into a round hole. I've been digging around and I am VERY impressed with what he did at Zona. I am really looking forward to the spring.
One concern of mine is that a lot of his running sets rely on the zone blocking scheme. We...sucked, hard, every time we attempted that last year. Remember all of those stretch plays that went for -4 yards because the tackle, TE, and/or WR couldn't block anyone? Yeeeaaaah.
Hopefully he implements a power game like we saw out of our unbalanced twin TE set last year. I trust that he will.
No, not that any decisions had been made. But something along the lines of, "I talked to both Frank and Tommy today as well..."
There have been rumors that Spangler had already left and I thought that Sonny might have said something to dispel those stories.
