So he wants to bring in Arizona assistants. Anyone know anything about them?
Sounds like he wants to bring Garrett Chachere and David Nichol with him. Both are receivers coaches. We definately have Conroy's old WR spot available for one of them. I'm sure the other could find a spot at another coaching position.

Can somebody inform me as to the difference between "inside" and "outside" receivers, and why they need separate coaches? I thought they were all just "WR"...
Chachere might be perfect for restructuring our Special Teams.

Kinda depends on scheme, but generally your outside receivers have more vertical speed, size, and jumping ability (aka Andre Johnson/Cruz Williams). Good for fly routes, corners/posts, and deep ins/outs. Inside receivers are the water bugs, quick cutters and lateral speedsters. Good for screens, hooks/hitches, out routes (aka Wes Welker/Phillip Livas).
I guess it depends on $$$. I wouldn't mind both coming in. Let Chachere handle special teams and Nichol handle receivers. I would assume it would be a pay cut though
I would love it if he brought in some new guys. Get us further away from Good ole Boy ball.
I hope he keeps Coach Spangler though. I would hate to lose that fine man.
I have noticed big achools with loys of $ have an inside and an outside WR coach, I think its kinda silly to have 2, but when you are looking for ways to spend $, you can do that. Its kinda like having a DL coach and DE coach, the DL is the DL, but its all about the $$$$, and we ain't got alot compared to the big boys

Actually, it seems that Perot is the only one of those left now.
"I only packed for one night," Dykes said with a laugh. "My wife, Kate, went to Wal-Mart and bought us all clothes. We're proud supporters of Sam Walton's brand right now. She's decked out in her stuff. I'm decked out in my stuff. We're brand-loyal."
Liked his "brand loyal" comment. Hope he stays loyal to the Tech brand for a while!
