I'm all for someone fixing the BCS but shouldn't we want someone other than the government to do something about it? I mean look at how this whole health care business is turning out...
Hey, let them fix the BCS. Keeps them from screwing up other issues.
It may be the only thing they do that I am some what behind.
While were at it, maybe Obama could actually do something to make the Pro-Bowl worth watching
It's an unfair monopoly. It needs to be busted. Who else but the feds can bust monopolies. Certainly not the impudent NCAA.
I am with you on this, but man, you think the yahoo would try to fix what he was elected to do and stop hunting for stuff outside the scope of his job. Of course by all means, spend time on this so you can stop trying to screw up everything else. The BCS is already screwed up.
how is it a monopoly? we have other football divisions that have playoffs. they just aren't as popular. should congress legislate that the other divisions become more popular? are they going to tell me to stop rooting for FSU and Tech because UCA is the closest football program to my house?
of course i do hope that they spend as long on the BCS as they have spent on health care. the more time spent on trivial stuff like football the less time spent stealing my paycheck or my son's future earnings.
Government regulates NFL.
What's the difference?
Both make piles of money... based on economic factors alone I'd say that college ball could control MORE finances than pro if you include funding from boosters, most college programs own their own stadium, etc.
I'm amazed that uncle sam hasn't had more say in college ball before now. We are the Socialist States of America after all.
Very good analysis in my opinion:
