My concerns about this game: 1st game with the new system - how well have we adapted, they have from now until the game to study what SD has done previously and prepare, they will be sky high for the game, and over-confidence on our part. Plus, what happens if it is a torrential downpour and the passing attack doesn't click? Lots of things that could go wrong for us. But all that said, we should win without too much problem if we are prepared for the game and I fully believe that we will be.
But it will be a very fun game and I wish I could attend...
Home or Away really doesn't matter. It gives neither team an advantage. We just put a victory in our "away" game catagory, even though it would really be a home game. Who cares? It will be a fun game and great atmosphere!
Starting off at home vs GSU is an excellent scenario. We will desperately need to practice the new schemes.
I think our players will be fired up for this one. There has been some trash talk between our boys and Grambling for years now.
With the impending conference shake-up, this is very good that we are playing in Shreveport.
I think we should schedule MBB, WBB, and baseball games in Shreveport next season, too.
I saw where LSU and NW St. are playing baseball at the Fair Grounds.
I think that would be a great idea.
On another note, im going to miss the Centenary games.
I still can't believe they agreed to play us. To me, they stand to lose some of their so-called prestige if we hang a 40 or 50 on 'em. If that happens, they'll never play us again.

That was basically the score when they played at Nevada-Reno and at Washignton State the past few years (if my memory is correct) so who cares what their "prestige" is... what's our "prestige" when we get/got hammered by 60+ by all of the SEC teams in the 90's?
I think it is REDICULOUS to be up in arms about not being the home team. Seriously, are you kidding me?? This game will likely be our 2nd largest crowd of the year. We are playing in an area we are trying to build a larger fan base. No one cares other than 12 people on here if we are the home team or not. The nation (if they care at all) will look at it as a game between 2 teams, period. This may be the craziest shit I have read on this board........we should only play IF we are the home team......wow.
We are getting guarantee $$$$, a guarantee WIN, and it will be a great atmosphere for college football. Look at it this way..........we get credit for a ROAD win!!! GEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!
Shreveport Times has us playing LSUS over here this year too.......not sure if that is on the Tech schedule.....I think April
I grew up in Shreveport and I'm in favor of playing Grambling there. Them being the home team is OK since I think the crowd will be 60-40 in their favor.
If we are the away team, you think Tech will have a deal where you have the option to purchase Grambling tickets as part of season ticket packages?
