Obama flushes more money for political exploitation

    http://apnews.myway.com/article/20100219/D9DV7SS00.html

LAS VEGAS (AP) - President Barack Obama is unveiling $1.5 billion in housing help, a boost timed to his appearance in the city with the worst foreclosure crisis in the nation.
Obama was to announce that housing finance agencies in the five hardest-hit states in the housing crisis will receive $1.5 billion to help spur local solutions to the problem. Those five are Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan and Nevada.
The president is also out to help vulnerable senators protect their seats and, in turn, gain as much legislative leverage as he can.
Great, throw national taxpayer dollars (which are debt dollars which will cost more in the long run) at a few key states to gain political support.

More of the same Chicago mob style politics.

Meanwhile he set up an executive branch debt reduction committee. I don't suppose they'll have the balls to tell him that he's spending too much money?

Couldn't this, and several other of his programs, be considered directly buying votes? Isn't that illegal or against ethics rules or something?

Buying votes through government voted actions is totally legal yet morally reprehensible.

Obama campaigning for Harry Reid in Nevada will ensure that Reid is soundly beaten in November (thank God). This is a great example of how Obama is completely blind to reality. Does the guy never look at polling data? Does he not realize that his endorsement is the kiss of death to Democrat candidates? Lets hope he keeps it up.

Obama needs to get them on this case right away to see why he spends so much of our money. You have to give it to him.... he is audacious.

Yep, everybody just gave the "Re-Elect Harry Reid" campaign a donation courtesy of Obama. It's pretty obvious what the stimulus was all about.
