    So does point spread play a part in the RPI scoring system? Also based on your answer that a human has decided that a away win is more valuable than on home win.

    No. No point spread. And yeah, obviously a human designed the formula and decided how much each factor would count.

    But like Bob said, designing the formula is the only part that is subjective. After that, it's all wins and losses (and to a small extent, where the game was played).

    We have several threads in this forum that break it down fairly well.

    RPI = 0.25*(Adjusted win %) + 0.5*(Opp win %) + 0.25*(Opp opp win %)
