The home team designation was a real sticking point for Grambling from what I understand. They obviously couldn't have been the home team if we played the game in Ruston and we can't play in Grambling. This is basically the only way that this game would happen. Grambling was very concerned with this not being like the ULM game where they felt used afterwards. Grambling being the "home team" doesn't bother our athletic department and it shouldn't bother us.

I have a feeling they are going to feel very used whenever they look at the scoreboard any time after kickoff.

We don't need the Grambling attendance numbers or the recognition, honestly. Let them ride the home team status, and let's start the season with an easy game in OUR territory, take the money, and take the momentum into Navy, aTm, and Southern Miss.

I do NOT expect the Grambling game to be "easy" by any means particularly if SWAC officials are involved. We will be Grambling's SUPER BOWL, a game they have looked forward to for many, many years. Coming off a 4-win season in 2009, we have no reason whatsoever to say that ANY game going forward will be an "easy" game.

The tickets for the Grambling game will NOT be included in the 2010 season-ticket package. However, you are entitled to buy the same number of tickets for the Grambling game as the number of season tickets you have normally, in my case, thirty-four. - MickeyS14

Make no mistake, this will be out of hand before halftime. Livas will have more all purpose yards than Grambling has total offense.....and not from kickoff returns.

I would like for Tech to have negotiated the "home" attendance count for this game. But, if we didn't, we must have had a good reason.

Remember, the SWAC is somewhat of a "rogue" conference. They don't participate in the NCAA playoffs. Instead, they have their own black national champion...

This game will be fun. Tech football and the Grambling band? Great way to start with the new offense.

This will get the guys a real opponent to work out the kinks of the system at game speed. This is much better than trying to work out the system against someone like a Mississippi State or Auburn.

Great warm up game for Texas A&M with a lot of Shreveport hype.
