We need to approach Bill Graham and see if he will talk with Bruce and Sonny about the QB luncheon...If Bill can't get it done then we all should approach Bruce and Sonny....

DD all but killed the Ouachita Valley Quarterback Club in Monroe that has met since JRP's first year...or Torbush's only year. I certainly hope Dykes will help revive it.
Why did DD kill those meetings?
You can be mad at him for leaving but let's be realistic. We were dang lucky to have him for 3 years. He helped change the face of Tech football, Tech athletics, and took us to a level we all have been wanting and laid the foundation for future success so this is a bit ridiculous.
Dang lucky? Did he search us out or did we find him? That ain't luck. Our administration finally realized what had to be done and they hired the right guy using good business practices. Now that he is gone, I'm not going to sing his praises. We got about all we were going to get out of him anyway.
Right!
I hated the timing of the departure, but understand that is just part of the business. I was extremely disappointed when he went after Tech prospects. But he did do a lot for Tech athletics while he was here and I am extremely grateful for that. As I have said in other places, his tenure as AD was invaluable to Tech. And that is the most important legacy that he leaves. We are light years ahead of where we were when he arrived.
I'm not mad at him for leaving, just the manner in which he left. Never really cared for him as a coach to begin with. Now, I thought he was great as an AD. I do agree he can be credited with changing Tech athletics and brought our athletic department to a level we've all been wanting, however, I think it's a stretch to say he changed the face of Tech football considering he left here with a losing record.
Is it just me or does Dooley look happier in that video than he ever appeared here? It will be interesting to see how his mood changes as football season nears.
He follows the Saban model to a "T"--gain complete control of the program.
