I LOVE THE BLACK SHIRTS..... Not sure if I've seen those before...
Anywho....Ever since Georgia broke out the black unis a few years ago and Tennessee introduced their version last year....I've been wondering what Tech could do with black... you know just for VERY special occasions.... Not that I don't love the Red...I do...and the blue too...but after seeing those black shirts...my imagination is really running on what Tech could do....

I don't know, it kind of makes me nervous. I've heard once you go black you never go back.

Seriously, though, I liked UGA's black unis (what, me and Guiss disagreeing on a topic?!?!), but a) they already had black as a prominent accent color and b) I just can't see it working with out color schemes.

Now, if you really want an AWFUL "black out," look no further than the mismatch blackish on forest greenish disaster Florida State put together a few years ago. Ain't that right, grassynolehitman?

Frankly, I don't care what color they wear on the sideline, but for now, and forever more, the uniforms should be red, white, and blue...PERIOD! When the school decides to change our colors to black and red, black and silver, black and white, black and blue, or black and whatever, then we can wear black in some fashion.

Heck, white shoes even look a lot better with our uniforms than do black ones. Although I kind of wonder what some red or blue ones might look like with our uni's. :icon_wink:

Now that you got me started, I hope that they do not tinker with the uniforms either. You can remove the helmet stripe, not a problem. Go to all white or all blues uniforms on occasion. Fine. Just do not mess with the basic design. As about 98% of the folks on here will agree, we have the best looking uniforms in the country. Don't mess with perfection....

I have two. the black ones don't get soiled as bad as the white ones.
The red-and-blue logo comes out stronger on the black background than the white shirts.

But I don't have any pink Tech apparel. Does that make me a bad person?

I am actually wearing the black polo today. I like the black shirt because it makes the red and blue logo really pop. I also wore a black hat this year for the same reason (i get a new hat every year and wear it exclusively and then retire it after the year).

And, I also like the looks of the photoshopped black helmet, BUT I don't think black uniforms would be a good idea. It's been done. I prefer the redout look for special occasions.

I don't mind the black shirt. I don't like the idea of adding anything black to our uniforms or helmets. Our colors are red and blue so I agree with you.

I don't like the black baseball unis

I have no problem with black polos for equipment personnel and other NON COACHING personnel on the Tech sideline -

The only thing black that our players should be wearing are the shoes - love me some black cleats....
