Big question is how will this affect the APR for basketball which just got back to a decent score. I guess if they were eligible it won't hurt?
Wow, is it really this many players? I thought it was the HS kids and 3 or 4. Never thought it was double-digits. Do we have someone recruiting our players for us and sending them here? You would think we know something about these guys before they come here?
I think the timing shows these guys were in good academic standing. If they weren't, you keep them around until they get eligible. I said this on Fox and Co. yesterday, these two guys were late signees for their respective signing classes and were expendable. Let's hold out judgment until we see what players they bring in to replace them.
Remember, Berhe plays the same position as Holton Hunsaker.
Keith Smith was the post player
Berhe should have never been signed in the first place - it was a desperate move last year when the PG failed to met the academic requirements plus he supposedly had a bad back -
I would like to see Ace rewarded for his play this year with one of these two rides -
Atleast Rupp is consistent and ships them out and brings them in regardless of who recruited them
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
The winter quarter is over, by releasing them now, I suspect, that the ream saved tuition, room and board monies for the spring quarter. Tough business.

Immediately when reading that comment most would jump to the conclusion that it was a disciplinary issue that cost Berhe and Felder their spots on the Tech basketball team. It could be however though that Coach Rupp wants to build off this year in which he saw much success out of his team and use the momentum to secure better players. Upon further research, BleedTechBlue.com has learned it was indeed a disciplinary issue. Since both players were in good academic standing following the Winter quarter at Louisiana Tech, the coaching staff decided it would be best to part ways with these players at that time.
