#1 Syracuse goes DOWN!

Louisville handed #1 Syracuse their first road loss of the season this afternnon 78-68 in the last game to ever be played in UL's great Freedom Hall. Interestingly, Kyle Kuric, a skinny white guy who only averages 3 pts per game, was the difference maker today, as he burned Syracuse for 22 points...all coming in the 2nd half.

This was a GREAT basketball game. Very fun to watch. Lots of athleticism on display. But it's also another example of how great things can happen when OTHER people --or UNEXPECTED people-- step up.

Syracuse has only lost 3 games all season, and two of them were to Louisville. You might say that Syracuse was Louisville's bitch this year.

This game was particularly impressive as Louisville outscored Syracuse 48-33 in the 2nd half.

Speaking of bitches...Texas is Baylor's bitch this year. Yes, you heard that right. The Baylor men just laid a 92-77 SMACKDOWN on Texas. That's a regular season sweep of UT for the Baylor men this year.

This win gives the Baylor men the #3 seed in the Big XII tournament, behind nationally ranked #1 Kansas and #5 Kansas State. KSU just lost to Iowa St today, so technically, Baylor ends the regular season tied for 2nd place in the Big XII with KSU.

The Baylor men's team just destroyed Texas again last night, 86-67, in the Big XII tournament. That's the Baylor men's 4th straight win over Texas, 3 coming this season alone.

Lacedarius Dunn of Monroe, is the BEST PLAYER in the Big XII, which may be the best conference in America this season. Wow! Dunn is unbelieveable.

Oh gosh..singing the praises of the Lil 12 again. tch tch Thought you might have learned your lesson when you proclaimed that Florida would be no better than 5th in the Lil 12 two years ago. Yeah, the same Florida that hammered OK in the BCS title game. And since that proclamation, the SEC is something like 6-0 vs. the Lil 12 in bowl games.

Yeah, this is hoops, a different kettle of fish. The SEC is not the best conf this year, but neither is the Lil 12. I would put the Big East at the top, top to bottom. Kansas? Ah, maybe. They have as good a shot as reaching the FF as most anyone else. But KU has always been strong in MBB. That doesn't mean the rest of the conference is all that good though.

Personally, I think you better complete your March Madness Bracketology with plenty of surprises. This is the year for it.

BTW, how is pigtails handling not being the most successful program on campus? Bet that grates against her, eh!

Hey Dawg80, you just proved you don't know anything about big time men's college basketball. The Big XII conference will most likely have 7 teams receive bids to the NCAA Tournament this year. That's right, SEVEN. The SEC sucks this year.
