Very tough draw it appears. We play Fresno, a team we split with and struggled with both times. If seeds hold, we play one of the hottest teams in the nation, Utah State. The finals would set us up either with a team we lost two twice, NMST or Nevada the home town guys.

Tough draw IMO. I hope Gibson is available some for Thursday. If not Magnum has to dominate and Olu has to stop pretending he's Dr. J down the lane.

I know its a tough road, BUT Ive seen flashes of what this team can do! I know it would have been convienent to peak by now and I wish we where on a streak heading into reno,nv, but Im still holding on to the notion that we can win this!!

Top 10 tips from someone with previous WAC tournament experience -

1. don't leave home without your tournament tickets
2. check Reno weather forecast and pack appropriate clothing
3. be prepared to pay $10 for internet access (24 hours)
4. don't treat the all-you-can-eat buffets as a challenge
5. don't talk to Fresno State fans, especially if you smell alcohol
6. sit as close as you can to the Utah State dance line
7. don't comment on Pistol Pete to NMSU fans
8. tell your friends where you are going and some will give you money to gamble
9. don't ask certain fans what year Boise, San Jose, or Fresno became states
10. brothels are legal, but remember that what happens in Reno could come home with you. This one is for you, nadB.

It's a great time to be a DAWG fan. We have a legitimate shot to win the WAC tournament although it will be tough to win 3 in a row. The DAWGS have never made it to a WAC conference final. This is the year we could make it to the finals, but we do have to beat Fresno and Utah State/Boise State winner to get there.

One area where we need to improve to have a chance to win is in ball handling. We are #9 in the conference in assists and #9 in assist/turnover ratio.

Getting the statistics to post in a readable format takes a long time. I don't have that much time.
