Brian McDonald, in College Fantasy Football Insider, says that with Sonny Dykes /Tony Franklin at Tech, "there's reason to believe that the Bulldogs will soon join the ranks of the nation's elite offenses."
Just as he cites that last the WAC was "the epitome of feast of famine from a fantasy perspective" (concerning last season's six WAC teams in nation's top 20 in total offense and two at the bottom), he expects Tech "will look unstoppable one week and clueless the next" this fall. He writes about who we lose, who returns and says that quarterback Taylor Burch "is a name to remember" as "anytime a new coach recruits a quarterback he's one to watch," adding "when that coach is Sonny Dykes the new quarterback is a player to draft and file away."
Concerning quarterbacks, McDonald says that "if Jenkins struggles either on or off the field then Colby Cameron could assume the starting role."
There will be "a great deal of fantasy potential" at wide receiver, he says, with Phillip Livas the top returnee and that "every other wide receiver, especially Cruz Williams, will be one to watch during spring and fall camp."
Of course "a new coach and OC with a new system means it's not as much about who returns, but more about who will win the starting jobs,
he writes. And he quotes Dykes, from a News-Star article: "We don't have any starters right now. Everything is going to be wide open."
