Student loans/healthcare

I saw something about tieing student loans into the the healthcare bill. Admiittedly, I don't know what this is about, but it seemingly would make the federal government the only lender for student loans. So, the federal government would now be able to control who gets loans, who goes to college, where they attend, and what they study. Is this what this addendum to the healthcare bill would do? Anyone know? Seems like this possible scenario was discussed on this board when healthcare became an issue.

Yes. The Feds would be the only entity allowed to "originate" a student loan.

Total control. That's what these people intend to have. What there're about to get instead, is total anarchy. I honestly believe that liberal California and New England can no longer coexist with the rest of what is a conservative America. The USA could soon go the way of the USSR, which was dissolved without a single shot being fired.
