They look pretty tough. 10-5 in their last 15. No blow-out losses all year except one at Vandy. Some solid wins against CUSA opponents

As I watched a team we beat (Northeastern) almost beat U-Conn tonight i was thinking the same thing. Man how fun it was when we were blowing out USU at home..beating nevada..winning bracketbuster games and away games at houston who made the tourney.
We are definitely half the team we were..if not less. I hope we can pull this one out none the less.

We should reconsider our current equipment (shoes) agreement in the offseason and see if there is a better alternative for preventing ankle injuries.
Tech has had a string of key injuries as of late that started with Kyle Gibson's ankle injury on Feb. 25. Then it was Jamel Guyton who injured his ankle on March 4 at Fresno State. Most recently, Magnum Rolle went down with an ankle injury against Utah State on March 12. Since the first injury, Tech has gone 2-4.
For now, this team just needs to go out and FIGHT till the finish. No defeatest attitude. When your stars get hurt, you keep going. Win or lose, you go out fighting. I think if they do that, they CAN win this! However, if they are going into it feeling defeated already, there is not a chance.
I have faith in our players and coaches that they can get this team ready and go hard for 40 minutes! Plus, KG should be MUCH better by now - not at full strength, but better than he was in the tournament. He and Guyton have to carry this team as the leaders.

Rupp gets a chance to show what kind of coach he is. Losing Rolle unexpectedly early in the USU game was a shock and didn't allow Rupp to gameplan without him. Well, no excuses tonite. He's known, the whole team has known, he wouldn't be playing. Yeah, it's a big loss, but good coaches and well-coached teams find other ways to get the job done. We'll see.
Very true....... The article today in the Newstar stated that Guyton and KG will be playing (it, actually, stated that all the injured will be playing - but it is the Newstar and we know that isn't accurate).........
Well, now it seems that Flowers will not play. That is huge for USM. Our chances of winning just went down at least 50%. Good luck tonight guys. Hope it is a good game.

This game has gotten ridiculous. It's like a Broadway show with nothing but under studies for performers.
