Of course winning will help. It will make the casual fan keep coming.
We have always had 10-12,000 diehard fans that make close to 100% of all the games if not all. And then we have another 30,000 fans in the 3-4 hour radius of Ruston that might make 1 or 2 games a year or 1 game every other year. This is how we get to the 20,000 average attendance. These people should be our target. Because if you get most of these people to become "regulars" then guess what you have? Sell-outs or near sell-outs at every game. But you have to put the product on the field and have a program that has a "kick ass and take names" mentality that fans want to be a part of. One they can be proud of and not feel ashamed of when bragging about. Look at little ole Boise State. Their fans actually believe that they are just as good as Alabama and Oklahoma. Imagine if our fans believed we were as tough as Arkansas and LSU. We would have to turn away people at the gates every gameday.
