An elbow injury in his throwing arm. Not sure of the exact injury, that is what the MRI is needed for. The point is, the parents shouldn't have to make a phone call. They have filled out insurance info and medical info at the beginning of the school year. It is the school's problem.

    Re: Jeb MRI?

My advice would be for his parents to take matters into their own hands and go get Jeb an mri on their own insurance plan. Time is wasting and they need a "correct diagnosis" asap. When Jericho was a sophomore he was incorrectly diagnosed with a "groin pull" by the school used physicians. He went through a whole season of painful rehab that just aggrevated his real injury which was a double hernia. It effected his swing and the ability to push off hard from the rubber when he was pitching. Aftert the season we took him to the head of surgery where we live and he found the hernias and scheduled surgery the following day. Incidentely, Jericho sufferred the hernias while "maxing out" in the weight room on a game day......which I question why are they maxing out when they have a game later that day? Go now

When you don't have healthcare competition, the same horses keep pulling the sleigh. MD evals and MRI's can all be done in a matter of 3 hours with a radiologist reading the images within another 30 minutes and giving a "wet read" almost immediately.

Jericho got his business degree at Tech on March 6, and has begun an internship with the Baptist College Ministries (BCM) on the LaTech campus. He will spend the summer as a baseball instructor at Kamp Kanakuk in Lampe,Missouri. He got a good hard look at the business side of pro baseball and decided that the "dream" wasn't all that it is cracked up to be. Thanks to all of you Tech baseball fans who made his baseball experiences that much better by coming out to the games and cheering him on with the rest of the team. We have some fond memories of meeting so many great people at JC Love so you can imagine that we are suffering the withdrawl pangs with baseball out of the picture now.

Just because Jericho isn't playing doesn't mean you can't make a trip to JC Love for a game to satisfy your craving.

I heard this on the radio the other day. The fact that we can't get Jeb in until a month after they request a MRI is an absolute shame to our administration and everyone involved.

This all seems very strange and a little hard to believe. What are the range of treatments that could result after an MRI? What is the treatment now, w/o an MRI?

With the MRI it could mean everything from resting for a week, to major surgery i.e Tommy John. Without it, there isn't much of an option. Don't want to hurt him anymore than what it already is by doing an unneccessary workout or rehab.

Thanks, seems that some rehabbing should be ongoing (unless if that would cause damage), but it may be wasted if surgery is called for. If surgery is needed, his season if over anyway. I hope he gets treated soon, this stuation sucks.

We took in one of the Baylor-Tech games in Waco and you're right......we need to take in a few at the Love Shack this year. Got to check the schedule and see if Fresno is coming to town.

Contact BVD. Don't know how much he knows or will tell you about the policy they buy, but limits number of certain procedures, deductibles, premiums. Almost an HMO. So it goes through a lot of red tape. Not sure if that is case in all circumstances or just that we are late in the policy year after many other sports.

Did hear Jeb was to have gotten his MRI Wednesday 3/24. Not sure with all the private rights what can be diviludged from reliable sources and that would be accurate rather than here say. Hope it came out well. I am sure that if surgery is recommended family may want to get a second and then get it done quickly as possible.

I just want to know to understand how much we will have to adjust staff again in same year. Bullpen or starters one will get hit more.

BVD and Bunch(sp?) have both heard it. Mr. Stefan was very, very unhappy with this situation. And he ended up not even needing an MRI. Walked in, the bent his elbow back, and said it was torn. One month later. Now, anyone think this would have happened if this was Ross Jenkins or Magnum Rolle? Hell no. That is the priority baseball is given at Tech. Ridiculous.

And Stefan is having surgery today or had it yesterday. Through their personal doctors. No connections to Tech.

Something needs to be done about that... I've made every call I can to voice my displeasure... I hope everyone else does too.
