Perez to Tech?

I have heard rumors that Kerry Rupp and the Bulldog coaching staff have made an offer to Centenary guard David Perez. This is the same guy who could not miss from deep this year against us. Most prominant teams have a good three point shooter which we lack now that Guyton is gone. Would this be a good addition to the team?

Would give us some valuable minutes and the ability to knock down the 3 on a consistent basis...

Welcome addition in my book - Tech77 and myself have both said this would be the top guy we should try and get off of that team

I agree. If this kid could come in and give us 10 points a night we might be able to contend for a WAC championship if we can find one more big man because Olu is gonna carry this team next year. He is maturing very well and will be tough for anyone to guard with his rare mix of size and athleticism.

David was a kid that i missed on but our team was pretty loaded that year. He can shoot it. He has a lot of offers right now.

Who are some of the teams that we are competing against to get this kid? From my understanding he also is a member of the baseball team at Centenary. Wonder if Simoneaux would be interested?

Don, i use my time as a high school ref to try to see as many players as i can but 80% come from calls from high school coaches. I sometime have college coaches call about kids. Not all from La.

Talked to Perez today and he says that he is leaning towards Middle Tennessee State. He has about 4 or 5 offers on the table but would not tell who the others are other than Tech and MTSU.
