We all know that Magnum has great potential for the NBA. His athleticism alone should be enough to get him drafted, but realistically where will he end up getting drafted at?

He don't get drafted.
late second round
I still do not see him being drafted. He will make a team, but unless he gets at least a little tough, he will be in the league less than Randy White.
I agree with you that Rolle won't get drafted. Personally, I didn't see the ability in him in the times I saw him play. In my opinion, for Rolle to do as well in the NBA as some on here think he will, he would have to have taken over games and we would have won more of those that we lost that could have gone either way. I never saw another team really struggle with keeping him under control.
He would also have to put on some weight and add some major strength
i'm a big believer in you are who you are. what you are in college, for the most part, is what you will be in the nba. if you can't dominate in college, you certainly won't dominate in the nba.
nba teams waste picks on "potential" and "upside" every year. tyrus thomas to the bulls? marvin williams to the hawks? anyone surprised these guys are just role players despite being top 5 picks? not from me.
i know magnum is a great athlete, and he might be able to carve himself a role in the nba, but any team that wastes a pick, particularly a high pick, is setting itself up to be disappointed. his production in college is not worthy of being an nba draft pick. i would draft kg in the second round before i drafted magnum.
the bold, the beautiful, theprofessor
I was going to point out that the Mav teams that Randy White played for weren't the same as the teams now. I believe they were expecting him to be a Karl Malone caliber player when he was more of a Horace Grant or maybe even a Scottie Pippen type player. White wasn't going to be the one that was going to scare the opposing teams, but he was good enough that if there were a "star" caliber player then he would have done well as the "next" guy.
Yep, very true. I think one of the main reasons they drafted Randy was because they passed on Karl in '85 and we all saw how that turned out. If they would have passed on Randy and had he went on and had a great career like Karl somebody would be in the unemployment line.
I have no clue if Magnum will get drafted and I realize that most of you also have absolutely no clue how NBA scouts evaluate talent. I suspect that had BB&B been around 26 years ago, many would have posted that Karl Malone would not get drafted and, if he did, that he had little chance at long term success in the NBA.
Just 19 years ago there would have been many who believed that Ron Ellis and P J Brown had no chance to get drafted. If they did get drafted, then most would have thought that Ron Ellis (the team's MVP) had a much better chance at success in the NBA than did P. J.
Now 22 years ago a majority of posters would have predicted that Randy White would be a high draft choice and had the potential to become an NBA superstar.
I'm a college MBB fan and don't follow NBA basketball at all so I have no clue about NBA potential. However, IMO, Magnum has shown greater skills in college than any of the players mentioned above.

I don't think he gets drafted. I think he will end up on a developmental team though and eventually get called up if he works hard.
