    Was Jesus plan B?

Spins thread and what it has morphed into regarding the sin and will of Adam has led me to ask the above question. Seems pertinent with Easter right around the corner.

This is mainly for those who are Christians. Non-Christians are free to participate, but I would ask that you contribute with the mindset that, according to Christian teaching, such and such is true or not true.

The question is simple, but I'll flesh it out a little more here. Was Jesus coming to earth in flesh and dying for our sins plan B? Could an omnipotent and omniscient God set up creation to run a certain way and then have to alter his plans according to the actions of his creatures? How does the way you answer this question affect your belief about foreknowledge, predestination, determinism, and the like.

I'm truly interested to hear what y'all have to say.
Time is your friend. Impulse is your enemy. -John Bogle

God knows everything he knew that Adam would sin...So since God knew this how could Jesus have been a plan b...he is just part of the plan.... IMO

I'm not sure but if God is omniscient then it was part of Plan A or just the "plan."

Here's a one-upper, was Lucifer part of his plan from the get-go?

So, if he knows you are going to sin and he creates you, isn't it also true to say that he intended for you to sin.

    Which part is not true?

    A. That he created you.
    B. That he had the option not to create you.
    C. That he knew you would sin.
    D. That he intends the results of his actions.

If A-D are true, then it seems straight-forward.

A related question - would it be possible for god to create a person that would not sin? If so, then he would have had a second choice - to create you in such a way that you would not sin. If not, then he has no control over sin.

I dont think he intended for you to sin, but he knows you will sin... How can he intend for you to sin but at the same time give you free will..to not sin..?

Define "you." If dirtydawg wasn't dirty, then would he still be dirtydawg?
