Those two bolted once the NCAA and the press got wind of what they were doing. What do the coaches forfeit? Absolutely nothing. USC and Memphis are left holding the bag while the NCAA rips them a new one and what do these coaches get, new lucrative contracts else where. UTEP probably has more going for it than USC. The only highlight to Floyd is that he landed Mayo but even now it looks like Mayo just went to the highest bidder. Even though he said he was looking for media exposure, you can get all that in small towns like durham, chapel hill, gainsville, manhattan(ks) etc.
Once the NCAA finds what it was looking for it should fine the coach and also penalize the school that hired him a scholarship or two for a couple of seasons. At least this way these schools will think twice about getting a coach on the run from schools where they did ethically and borderline criminal activity.
