Just in case there are any doubters...
Atlanta was some of the first Brown Dense (conventional) production in the eighties, and the key data set (if thats what ya'll are talking about).
I work down below Shreveport 2-3 days a week and the number of rigs around Frierson is amazing, and more are coming. There's one place near "Kingston" where you can see 4 rigs lined up maybe 660' between each other. Exco/BG doesnt care about the price of gas, they are all out, all the time down there.
Geophysical Explorer is doing seismic work around East Kentucky/Burgesville. If you see a bundle of wires and a yellow box with an antenna, that's a seismic sensor. There's also a low flying plane criss-crossing the area.
I'm wondering if the vibes will start showing up.

Ruston may be in for some drilling before too long.

Looks like Veritas is boring holes all over the place...some rigs on tracks, some on tractor tires too.

Admittedly, this is a dated document (2003), but it does provide a background on the economics of horizontal drilling.
http://fuelfix.com/blog/2011/10/14/i...l-gas-is-down/ NG industrial demand way down with the economy and price outlook.
http://www.star-telegram.com/2011/10...the-bloom.html This is more about Barnett shale, but I think it applies equally to N. La. ng.
