Chris Kersten was assigned to the Lake County Captains (Class A) from the AZL Indians two days ago.
I believe Burnett, Knotts, and Winn are out of pro-ball now. Good luck to Rike and Kersten this season.

Someone who is better than AAA but can't take an everyday spot on a 25 man roster. You can get "called up" at anytime. September is when the roster expands from 25 to 40 so that is when everyone hears of the "call ups".
Sorry to read that Cris Kersten was demoted from Low A ball (Lake County Captains) to short season A ball (Mahoning Valley Scrappers). It looks like Cris was doing just fine there so I don't understand the move. Brian Rike is off to a much better start this year so maybe he'll be able to make the jump to AA sometime this summer. Being a 2nd round draft pick with a sizable signing bonus helped him get through that awful season last year so I hope he relax more now and have a great season like he did 2 yrs ago for Tri Cities.
