I think it would behoove Terry to keep quiet on the issue now. He's had his say. If I were Mr. Rooney, I wouldn't appreciate Terry speaking on my behalf.

This guy is a POS though. I hope Goodell suspends him.
You mean like JJ?
Once a snake always a snake.
Drunk Jerry Jones Bad-Mouths Bill Parcells, Tim Tebow
A source sends along this video of a seemingly inebriated Jerry Jones waxing off about Tim Tebow ("he'd never get on the field"), Bill Parcells ("not worth a shit"), and how he got his stadium. Read the rough transcript after the jump. A drunk JJ is dropping the F BOMBS like there's no tomorrow. watch the tape.

Since Roth is a former Super Bowl winning QB, this incident makes the entire NFL look bad. It's a scar on the game. So, if Roger Goodell and the NFL are as concerned about the NFL's reputation as they always say they are, they'll need to step in and suspend Roth for at least 6 games (without pay) next season. That aught to get his attention.

I don't like the guy and think he is one of the league's bigger jerks. However, he has not been proven to be guilty of anything (although I think he more than likely is and would love to see him sit for a while). I am concerned that of the precedent that Goodell sets before all the facts are in. As I understand it, at this point both of the assault charges are "he said/she said". If proven, he should pay heavily. However, nothing is "proven" at this point. As satisfying as suspending him for 4, 6, or even 16 games would be, I cannot see where this is justified at this point. The only thing known right now that he is guilty of is extremely bad judgement.
What am I missing here?
OK, that is disgusting. But if it is true, Goodell does not need to do anything. There should be a criminal trial and Ben spends the next 20-25 years in the pen. But if there is no trial, it is still a "he said/she said" scenario. Hard to tell who is telling the truth.
Just my opinion that Goodell needs to wait for the facts to come out. In other recent cases, Goodell had the facts (in some cases convictions or admissions) before passing sentence. I hope the girl presses charges.
