2009 statistics showed that 478,029 athletes played high school baseball nationwide. 2956 scholarships were awarded. This equates to around 1%. Sim and Tree cannot possibly be held responsible for seeing all 478,000 + high school baseball players. With their limited time they must choose games witha higher chance of seeing a prospect, i.e. 4A and 5A, which simply because of enrollment allow a better chance. My way of thinking is that all players who want to be seen, will make themselves seen. Regardless of money, the kid could have someone make a phone call, or send in a video for him.
