Wrong, except for the "upper echelon" screwing up part.

From first paragraph:
Israel did not do anything about them crossing the border until well after they crossed and did their damage, which leads back to my other postHezbollah surprised Israel with a bold daylight assault across the border on Wednesday, leading to fighting in which two Israeli soldiers were captured and at least eight killed
No they didn't. Hezbollah was able to attack a settlement, military outpost, or somethin like that before anything happened, hence the war.
The thing about our boarder with Mexico is that we would have plenty of time to react for at least 98% of that territory I bet. The Israeli system would work great! Now let her add to it and what we've already spent and I would be happy. But to drop it is insane!
With Israel they need to react..and be there right NOW!
Those in command didn't due to their own lapses and all hell broke out on Israel's northern boarder. There's no room for error. Oh, and I would NOT take the New York Slime at face value on there reporting of war facts ever.
What do you base that off of? If we can react to 98%, then the need for something like the e-fence wouldn't be there.
The New York Times is a respected news agency throughout the US and the world. They aren't just making stuff up for the hell of it. Every news agency, even yor precious Debka File, reports the same thing. Israel didn't do squat to prevent them from crossing, nor to aprehend them after they did, and a war started.
An e-fence wouldn't do anything without enforcement. That is the problem we are having -enforcement.
How can you say it worked when Hezbollah was able to kill 8 and kidnap (and eventually kill) 2??????? Doesn't matter the IDF were distracted by diversionary tactics. Their border wasn't being enforced. Enforcement is not reactive, or shouldn't be, it is supposed to be proactive.
I feel a bit ashamed having this discussion in this thread.
