No 1,000 Yard Receiver in the Past 10 Seasons...

An interesting look at some statistics from the past 10 seasons. We've had 6 thousand yard rushers. We've had 3 - three thousand yard passers. BUT, we've had ZERO thousand yard receivers in the past 10 years.

another interesting link from the same story line...

Again one of the best rushing attacks in the past 10 seasons but not much else. 1 of 21 teams without a thousand yard receiver in the past ten years. Interesting that Florida State and North Carolina haven't had a thousand yard rusher in 10 seasons.

Off the top of my head, James Jordan in 1999 was the last 1,000 yard receiver at Tech. I think he finished with something like 1,016 yds receiving and then left to go pro. He got picked up by the 49ers and hung around the practice squad for a couple of years played special teams and had limitted playing time as a tight end.

I don't think anyone has even come close to 1,000 since.

Maybe this will be the year we finally see another 1,000 yard receiver at Tech, I think we have a couple that are capable but we may spread the ball around too much for them to make it.

We may spread the ball around, but if we have that GO TO receiver that catches anything that is thrown to him, I bet we get close...

Like Crabtree at TT. Few T-Tech receivers under Leach had a ton of yards, but when one excelled, he excelled big time.

Exactly. With Tim Molton being a Junior and still having 4 years of eligibility left, I think he's bound to do something special for us!

I think we have too many threats for a thousand-yarder this year.

would you rather have a 1,000 yard guy or 3 or 4 guys with 700 - 800 yards? i think i'll take the 3 or 4 guys that can all make plays for a few years over one 1,000 yard guy
