    B.C. Lions Release Zac Champion

The Vancouver Sun posted at 5:02 p.m. today (5-10-10) that the B.C. Lions have released former Louisiana Tech quarterback Zac Champion in a "remaking" of the team's QB depth chart.

Zac "was mostly a third- and fourth-stringer" the two years he was there, throwing four completions of 14 passes for 35 yards and two interceptions.

He did get to play some last year because of injuries, the article stated.

the fans of that team seemed to be upset that they let him go..that seems odd looking at his numbers.

Their "fans" might very well be that one family member that used to come on here acting like Zac was awesome. That dude blamed everybody else.

Champion was good at times and not so good at times. He was just inconsistent. He had the arm.

    It is the truth.

Champion was 423 for 767, 55% completion percent, 27 TDs and 28 INTs in his career at Tech. Not to mention 60 sacks and a 6.16 yrd avg/ attempt.

Jenkins is 266 for 469, 56.7%. 24TDs and 8 INTs in his career at Tech. Not to mention 6.99 yrd avg/ attempt.

The numbers don't lie. Granted Jenkins has only three years and Champion had five to get 28 Ints, but Jenkins won't throw 20 this year b/c he will be on the bench before that happens.

I'm by no means saying Jenkins is a great QB, just that he is better than Champion was, and that is sad.
