Brett has allegedly told the Southern Miss Baseball team that if they make the CWS, he will return for another season with the Minn Vikings.

Just when you think it can't get more ridiculous, he pulls this.

I had hoped after the beat down we gave him in NO he would just go on and retire and shut up. I guess not. Well come on back down to NO on September 9, Brett. We'll be waiting for you.
Not smart on Shaper's part but still pretty funny.
Darren Sharper on Brett Favre surgery: "X marks the spot"
Posted by Mike Florio on May 22, 2010 10:22 AM ET
Now that Vikings quarterback Brett Favre has undergone ankle surgery, apparently in the hopes of playing in 2010, a former teammate and current nemesis has sounded off.
"Well, y'all seen Brett had surgery on that ankle we got after in the championship game," Saints safety Darren Sharper said. "Come Thursday night 1st game. X marks the spot."
Sharper's message contains a healthy dose of irony, given that he was hobbling on a bad knee for much of the offseason, and that even after surgery in early March he won't be ready to be on the field until training camp.
So, basically, the men charged with blocking for Favre easily can respond by looking at Sharper's knee and saying, "X marks the spot."

My honest opinion is that both Favre and Sharper will play at a diminished level this year, compared to last year. All in all, that is a good thing for the Saints. Favre will most likely skip camp and will be a little rusty during the first game against the Saints.
The chances of Sharper getting another 9 picks this season is slim, but he can be a good veteran teacher for the young guys who will eventually replace him....Malcolm Jenkins and Chip Vaughn.
Thing is, a rusty Favre is still better than 60% of the QB's in the league even at 40 years old. Especially with the talent around him. Hopefully, the Saints won't get hit with the Super Bowl "jinx" and fall apart this year. It's the Saints afterall, even after a Super Bowl win......If any team will get hit hard buy the jinx, it will be Saints. (Hope not though)
WHO DAT!!
I've never understood all the hate over this. IMO, as long as he can play, wants to play, and there's a team that wants him, he has the right to play -- just like any other player. I'm not a Vikings fan, nor was I a Green Bay fan, but I do admire Favre. And like Tdawg87 said, at 40+ he's still better than many pro quarterbacks.
you're right that he can play, but my point in this thread is the recurring theme and drama of is he coming back. I don't hate Brett Farve, just the endless debate of whether or not he'll come back. Builds real team chemistry.
The Vikqueens were a perfect match for this guy.
