Let's team up with Iowa State, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, or would they go to the MWC?

Yeah, wow...that's a lot of speculation, most definitely "earth-shattering".

    WOW, a new twist.

Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Colorado to the New PAC 16. These schools will join the two Arizona schools to form Pac 16- East.

Not really new. This is one of the senarios that has been out there for several weeks.

True but I dont think it wasnt taken as serious as it is now. Heard about working together not raping the big 12.

Notice the writer pointed out that Texas would like to hold the conference together and partner with the PAC10 on the TV deal. I'm betting ATM doesn't like the deal and is seriously considering going to the SEC. I know people think they are joined at the hip, but ATM has to be sick of taking orders from Texas.

I've had that impression for a while. Plus you keep hearing if the SEC expands they need schools that bring enough to make the pie bigger. I think aTm does that all by itself and doesn't need Texas.

Plus, they could still have their annual rivalry game.

Don't you know that Baylor is in a panic. With the Legislature not stepping in this time, they will be left hanging....

True, but could they become the fly in the ointment of our getting into CUSA? CUSA would probably take Baylor over us if there is an opening.

If this happens, I think Baylor will get picked up with the remaining 6 into another AQ conference trying to compete with this 16 team monster. I hope so, anyway. If not, you are exactly right.

    Interesting.

"A&M is starved for cash because its athletic department fell $16 million into debt and received a loan from the school's general fund to pay it off, causing a rift between the university and athletics. That rift, in part, led to A&M school president Elsa Murano to resign under pressure because she was pushing for the money to be paid back and was met with resistance by A&M system chancellor Mike McKinney, whose sons played football at A&M, and possibly even Texas Gov. Rick Perry, an Aggie who is still very involved in the school's politics."
