In that case, we could have called 'Cuse to see if they would be willing able to host our team the Saturday before T'giving, in exchange for for a return game in JAS in 2011 or 12.

This would have been the PERFECT year to play a 13th game at someone's house -- we already have 6.5 home games this year, and empty slots on our OOC slate for the next 2 seasons. (And a last minute deal with a desperate Syracuse might have given us a chance to knock off another AQ in Ruston.)

I know there's a lot more involved in these matters than what I'm / we're privy to. But an only speak as a fan. And as a Tech football fan, I want to see MORE Tech football.

I posted this on another thread but thought it might be better suited for this discussion:

I always think what if we had started our current push 10 years earlier...would we be right in the middle of all this instead of Boise? I truly believe we could ahve been on par with TCU and Boise. Hindsight is 20/20, but I think we will miss out on a golden opportunity (getting into an AQ conference) but I do like our current direction and the focus of our administration. I think we are alot better off than multiple have nots.

Not hindsight. We knew we were in a bad position the day we heard SMU, Rice, and Tulsa were gone to CUSA. Our leadership knew it was coming a year before it happened. They did NOTHING.
